How-to... Process Manager

Process Manager

This is an operational management role.

This role participates in the construction of processes and procedures. The Process Manager participates in setting and updating the part of the organization that concerns the processes and TaskPacks entrusted to him, using Constructors tools. He is responsible for actively coordinating the execution of operational tasks using the tool: Operators / Arena.

The Top Manager is responsible for the functioning of all processes as a whole, and each process is coordinated by one Process Manager. The Process Manager, therefore, works closely with the other Process Managers, and they all together form "one team" that provides company results.

While the Top Manager directs special attention to the transition of the flow of work from one process to another, the Process Manager pays attention to the following:

  • Unhindered execution of the Task Package.
  • Handover Task packets and their exchange between processes.

The Process Manager should constantly be present to coordinate the Doers during the execution of TaskPacks. Good concentration, responsibility, independence in coordinating, and teamwork are some characteristics that a good Process Manager should possess.

The Process Manager should be a person who has a deep understanding of the nature of the work being coordinated and is skilled in constructing TaskPacks and processes.

It is less important that they are a first-class performer of tasks because their primary responsibility is to ensure process coordination.

It is essential to point out this fact because there is a widespread misconception that the best Doer in the process automatically deserves to become the Process Manager.

It should be remembered that the job of a Process Manager is not a prize to be enjoyed but rather a hard daily work of coordinating and serving the Doers.
