Usual functions and commands

Here we list the common elementary functions that appear in the application, regardless of which tool or software page we use.

Collapsing left menu

It is recommended that the application be used on a desktop computer due to its versatile functionality. However, if we are in a situation where we have to use a laptop or tablet, the function that collapses the left menu is convenient. This increases the working area of the screen.

The menu collapses with the left arrow. It is reduced to a size where only the icons are visible. The menu is still fully functional, and tools are selected by hovering over the appropriate icon.

The right arrow expands the menu to its previous size.

Save and Cancel

The content entered or changed should be saved by clicking the Save button. This means that it is stored in the software.

If we do not want to save the content and the changes we made, we should click on the Cancel button.

Save as Draft

In some cases, the content we enter is more complex and requires more time or some checks. In that case, we can save the temporary content that is not yet ready by clicking the Save as Draft button. The content is then saved, but the item is not yet active. It stands out in the list by appearing as faded text. Such an item does not appear in the lists of other tools while in the Draft state.

Only when the Save button is clicked does the item exit the Draft state and become a regular saved item.

Edit

The item can be opened for editing by clicking on the pencil icon. Then its content can be reviewed or changed.

If we make a change, it is necessary to save the change.

Delete

By clicking on the bin icon, we can delete the item.

Then there is another step before deletion. We will be asked to confirm if we are sure we want to delete the item. When we confirm, the item will be deleted.

Note: A deleted item cannot be restored to the list.

Visibility

The Visibility feature appears in the Strategers tools. With it, we determine which of the users will be able to access and see the content of that page. Visibility has 2 visual variants:

a padlock icon or
a button with an icon and text.

Clicking on them opens the following dialog:

In the ACTION section, we choose between two options: Allow and Block. When we choose to Allow - it means whether we want to create a list of users to whom we allow access to the page. And vice versa. When we choose Block - it indicates whether we want to create a list of users that we do NOT allow to access the page.

In the APPLY TO section, we determine who will be on the abovementioned list. When we click on Everyone - it means that the previous Allow or Block selection applies to all users. When we click on Some - it means that we will choose by name the users that we will allow or block access to the page.

Re-arrange items

We can change the order of items in almost every list. This means that we can "grab" them with the mouse and drag them up and down the list and "drop" them where we want that item to be. There are two views for Re-arrange:

Toggle icon

Four-direction arrow icon

When we click on the icon, it turns blue, and we can move the item. Turning off the switch after that is recommended because the items can be accidentally moved.
